Our Story
Feathered Forest Hunt Club started with a pretty simple idea: there just weren’t many options to go quail and pheasant hunting in the Greater Houston area. We wanted to start a preserve that wasn't too far or too pricey—especially if you just wanted to get out for a good day hunt without turning it into a full-blown trip to South Texas or South Dakota.

So, Beau & I decided to build the kind of place we wished existed. Somewhere you can bring your buddies, colleagues, or family. A beautiful & laid-back upland preserve where you can enjoy and even teach the sport to the next generation of upland hunters.

Feathered Forest is about making upland bird hunting more accessible without sacrificing the quality. Whether you’re experienced or just getting into it, we look forward to welcoming your group to our escape into the piney woods north of Houston.

From October through March, Feathered Forest Hunt Club offers a quality experience for pursuing quail & pheasant. We are passionate about creating an abundance of wild performing birds, and work hard to maintain natural upland habitat. Our professional guides use both pointing and flushing dogs to ensure hunters have a successful & fun hunt.
